I’m loving summer :)

Is anyone else loving how it FINALLY feels like summer?  I still can’t believe I have yet to turn on my air conditioner.  Anyway, a few exciting things have been happening.  My best friend Marie, who I have been friends with since I was 5, had her baby boy a few weeks ago.  He is sooo cute!  It makes me really baby hungry to hold him and I love how Kylie is getting less and less jealous of him whenever we go and visit.  We went over last Wednesday and I made my extremely yummy Cafe Rio Pork burritos for Marie, her husband Ryan and her mom Barb.  It was so good to see Barb again.  She lives in Illinois and was able to come out and visit for a while.  I love this first picture of Kylie giving James a fish kiss :)

I LOVE this picture.  I can’t wait for the day when the baby Austin is holding is actually ours.  Kylie looks so adorable…

Last Friday Austin took the day off so we could go see the farm animals at Thanksgiving Point.  They have various animals you can feed and pet and Kylie was in HEAVEN!  Seriously, she loved feeding the goats and horses.  It is so weird to have a horse eat out of your hand.  Needless to say Kylie didn’t mind.  At one point she was feeding a baby calf and it started  eating her dress and hair.  At one point Kylie’s hair was sticking straight up and glistening with cow spit, but she didn’t mind at all!

Last Saturday was my brother and sister in laws birthdays.  My brother is currently in Texas finishing up his tech school for the Air Force.  It was nice to talk to him on the phone and I’m excited that he will be heading out our way next month.  We’ll only get to see him for a few hours, but it’s better than nothing.  Jenelle had a birthday party at her house that night, so we headed over to eat some good food and spend time with family.  Austin caught some great shots of Kylie.  I love tweeking pictures afterwards.  Anyway, this first one is of Kylie helping Jenelle wash off strawberries for the cake.  Later, Jenelle was having Kylie help her put the strawberries on the cake, but Kylie decided that she would rather put her hand in the cake….that was covered in frosting.  Luckily she didn’t do any damage.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENELLE!

I can’t believe that in less than a week it will be the Fourth of July, that a week from tomorrow Kylie will be turning 2, and 1 week from this Friday we will be driving to Banff Canada.  AHHH!  How exciting for me!  I was telling Austin the other day how fast the summer is going by and this year I’m actually looking forward for the summer being over because then it will be closer to September when this whole nightmare of a back situation is finally over with.  I go today to get another X-ray and then on Thursday I find out if the new bone they put over my vertebrae is stable and growing right.  Hopefully it is.  I will be sure to keep everyone updated.  Well, have a great week everyone!  Be safe this weekend!

Spending a couple of days with my 2 favorite people

Last week was really, really busy. It seemed like Austin and I barely saw each other after he got home from work. On Sunday we decided to spend the day together as a family. We drove the Alpine Loop for like 3 hours and took some pictures along the way. Kylie was in no way shape or form going to cooperate with taking pictures – hence why most of these she is either not smiling or not looking at the camera. It was so much fun to just drive around and look at God’s beautiful creations. Here are some pictures of our day:

Yesterday we went shooting in Saratoga Springs. Boy do I like shooting guns! Me, Austin and his dad and brother went and I had a blast. Just call me Bond…James Bond.

Hey everyone. This is just a reminder that my "Cents of Style" party is this Thursday (June 11th) from 6:30 to 8:30. It's an open house party, so come when you can. I wasn't able to give everyone an invite because I ran out, so please don't think you can't come if you didn't get one :) Like I said in an earlier post, this company sells shoes, purses, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, headbands, etc for really cheap (a lot of it is $10 or less) and a lot of the product will be there that night. They will have catalogs as well if you don't find what you want. Anyway, hope to see you there!

Busy week

Last Saturday was a busy day for me. It was extremely fun though. I started off my day by throwing a baby shower for my best friend Marie. We have been friends since we were 5. She is like a sister to me and I am so excited to see that baby of hers! He should be here in a couple of weeks! Anyway, here are some pics:

After the party, my friend Crystal did my hair. I LOVE IT! Austin thinks it looks like tiger stripes. Roar… Anyway, I love it and Crystal, you did an amazing job once again :)

After getting my hair all beautified, Austin and I went to some Parade of Homes. I found the house of my dreams. It’s in Alpine and I want it!

So yeah, you can say I had a blast on Saturday! Last night it was thundering and lightning, so we decided to go down by the lake and take some pictures. I think Austin took some great photos. Here are a few of my favorite:
