Kylie

Boy am I glad that summer is finally here! There are so many fun things to look forward to. One of them is coming up this week...the Parade of Homes. I love looking inside million dollar homes. Most of them don't feel homey...more like a museum. But it's still fun to go and get a couple of decorating ideas. Poor Austin has to be dragged everywhere with me. At least he likes looking at the houses :)

I bought Kylie some necklaces, bracelets and rings today. She refuses to take them off. She's so cute though. I'm glad she's such a girly girl.

One day last week Kylie insisted that I put all these bows on the ribbon that was on her head. Made for some cute pictures :)

Thought I would share a cute video of Kylie "working" on the computer. It's amazing how much they watch everything that we do. She is so cute.

Mother’s Day, flowers, etc

So it appears that I am behind on my postings :)  Mother’s day was awesome.  I woke up to Austin holding a tray full of yummy breakfast food and Kylie giving me a huge kiss.  Austin built me another flower box and I absolutely love it!  He is such a sweet husband.  It was a great day.

Last week we went to get all my flowers, bushes, and vegetables for our garden.  We uh spent a bit more than I thought, but oh well :)  I am so excited for our garden.  We’re hopefully going to have green beans, lettuce, onions, cilantro, rosemary, bell peppers, jalapenos, cantaloupe, cucumbers, zucchini, and tomatoes.  Yeah!  Just wish it wouldn’t take like 4 months to grow.

Here are the pictures of my flowers and our garden.

I signed Kylie up for preschool….for 2011.  I guess there’s this lady who is an amazing preschool teacher and has like a 2 year waiting list.  So I quickly signed Kylie up :)  I hope she loves it as much as I did when I was 4.

Have you guys seen X-men?  It’s really, really good.  I would recommend it to anyone.

American Idol is over this week.  I don’t really think it’s going to be a competition.  Adam is the best by far.  I’m really bummed that we will be in Canada when the American Idol tour comes to Salt Lake.  :(

Well, I guess I should go see what Kylie is up to.  See ya next time!

Cents of Style

So I am hoping to host a Cents of Style party next month. I have been to one of these parties and they are AWESOME! This lady sells shoes, handbags, belts, jewelry, headbands, etc for really cheap. A lot of her stuff is $10 or less and it's really cute. Anyway, check out her blog here to get in on her giveaway. You can also visit her Cents of Style site to check out a few of the things that she sells.

How can she have the terrible two’s with a face like this???

So recently Kylie has decided that she wants to start the terrible two’s a little early.  It has been quite draining to listen to her cry many times during the day.  Sometimes she’ll just start crying for no reason too!  I know she is probably still trying to adjust to having a boring mommy around.  I’ll admit that I’m not happy with the fact that SpongeBob Squarepants is her new mommy, but honestly there is not a whole lot I can do right now to entertain her.  I am going to be so glad when this 6 months is over with!

Anyway, I took some cute pictures of her the other day and I just had to share them with you.  I love this kid so much and she brings so much joy to our life.  I hope all you Mothers out there have a wonderful Mother’s Day on Sunday.  Just remember that this is the absolute best job in the world and it is sooo worth it!

Hi

I thought I would post a couple of pics from our flower bed.  It has been fun to watch all the tulips come up this year.  I was a little worried that the neighbor kids would pick them, but so far so good!  I’m a little sad that I won’t be able to plant any of my flowers this year.  Well, I’ll get to plant my flower box.  But it’s still sad.  Anyway, enough about what I can’t do…I’m tired of that subject.

Well, I had the best day on Friday. Austin’s mom and dad took Kylie to their house all day long.  It was awesome!  Before they came to pick her up she was whiney and clingy, but as soon as they walked in the door, she was all smiles and she ran to get her shoes.  She was like “See ya!”  I was able to just lay in bed and watch movies all day long.  I caught Kylie’s cold and was feeling miserable, but after all that rest, I seriously felt so much better.  Thanks again Howard and Wendy :)  That night Austin and I went to Chili’s for a date night.  Of course I had to get the Quesadilla Explosion Salad.  It was just a great day.

My back is starting to feel a lot better.  I still have my good days and bad days.  I think my main problem is my legs aren’t used to squatting all the time, so it makes them sore.  I still have to take a pain pill at night, but usually none during the day.  Today is the second good day I have had.  I actually feel…normal.  I’m so thankful for these kind of days.

Does anyone have any good book recommends?  I am currently reading Angles and Demons (awesome book by the way) and after that I will not have any new books to read.  I picked up the first book in the House of Night series.  The book is called Marked.  It’s a vampire series.  I didn’t even get halfway through it because of the language and a few other things.  I really hate when authors ruin a perfectly good story line with vulgarity.  But then again I guess most Americans don’t mind reading it.  I just hate the way it makes me feel.  I am not ashamed to say that I love reading Harry Potter type books because you know you don’t have to worry about anything.  Anyway, I am seriously looking for a good series to read or any good book :)

Well, I hope you all have a good week.  Remember that Mother’s Day is coming up!  (hint, hint, Damian).  Bye!
